This course is designed to introduce medical terminology and provide a working knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and disease processes. Students become familiar with basic word structure, prefixes, suffixes, terms pertaining to the body as a whole, and those relating to general body systems and abbreviations. Emphasis is on spelling, definition and pronunciation.
