This course introduces students to the basic concepts and principles of occupational therapy practice with a focus on concepts of occupation, task analysis and task adaptations. Strategies for creating an appropriate environment for the therapy process along with basic skills for choosing, using and grading activities as treatment modalities are practised. Students also learn the basic components and the use of manual wheelchairs.Prerequisite: OPTA 1114 Rehabilitation Skills
